While watching The Simpsons last night, they had an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon called “It’s a Wonderful Knife” and Scratchy passed by a theater called the Bijou. Now, being who we are, it instantly brought to mind Grunkle Stan’s memory from Dreamscaperers where he went on a date and saw Grandpa the Kid when he was younger. This reference, is of course, to the Bijou Theater at CalArts, which is the campus projection room.

UPDATE: I am aware of the history of the name Bijou as a theater and that many theaters are still called Bijou and it predates Gravity Falls. While the sentence structure may have been a bit vague, the last sentence was directly in conjunction to the Gravity Falls Bijou theater scene.

I would be surprised if there was anything other than a coincidence between the two shows and the scenes posted. It’s just that it reminded me of the one in Gravity Falls regardless of its history.
